I have another quick update for you, Rogues!

Status effects are now active on the map when you are traveling around!

Each time you change location, all of your status effects will take 1 'turn.' Meaning their durations will be reduced by 1 and your main character will receive whatever effect they give. So, if you have Poison or any other damage-per-turn status, your main character will receive damage from it each time you change location. With Regen type statuses, you will heal HP each time.

Some statuses like Blind and Confuse don't cause healing or damage but have other interesting effects while traveling. Other statuses like Attack Proof, Magic Proof, and Firestrike won't have any effect on the map because they only have in-battle effects. However, the duration for these statuses will still reduce as you travel.

Keep in mind that auto-statuses are permanent and don't have a duration so any auto-statuses you have will affect you on the map permanently until you remove it.

The main purpose for this update is to prepare for the upcoming new maps! The 3 ruined kingdoms of the Rogue Dynasty Story will have various effects on your character as you travel around them. If you remember from the Prologue, each Kingdom had a devastating curse released on them when KoN KoA opened the Ark of the Covenant and Pandora's Box. These curses are still in effect years later and it's the reason why the Kingdoms haven't been rebuilt! Anyone who enters is affected by the curses in horrible ways!

This update also solves a minor exploit that I have known about but never really addressed it. Previously, if you had a status like Berserk that increases damage, you could go to lower level maps and 1-hit kill weaker monsters and end the battle before the status duration was deducted. This allowed players to keep the Berserk permanently as long as they kept ending the battles in 1 turn. Now, whenever they take a step (change location) on the map, it will deduct a 'turn' and remove the status if it reaches 0 duration, which solves this problem.

The downside of this is that it will be very easy to waste rare or expensive items like Hero Drink that give buffs for 10 turns. So, be careful using these items! Make sure you are at a location where you can start a boss battle and won't have to travel and waste your 'turns!'

As always, let me know if you have any problems. Stay tuned for the next update!

If you use a Hero Drink on one character, then switch to another character to travel around with, will it still deduct the effect of hero drink on the other character?

No, because that character wouldn't have the Peerless. It's based on whatever statuses are on your main character.
